Hi, I'm Ben, welcome to my personal blog.

I have been working in software and architecture for the past twenty years, helping companies and clients figure out how to modernise their architectures.

I spend most of my time in the front office space, so things that directly power the customer experience. In my opinion this is the most exciting part of the stack as it's the part real, live, customers interact with.

I've always been fascinated with technology and continue to be enthralled with the ever changing landscape. It really is an amazing time to be a technologist.

I'm fortunate enough to work at Deloitte Digital in the UK, where I lead the Composable Practice, championing the transformative impact of MACH and composable technologies. My focus is on addressing our most difficult and impactful composable client challenges, driving innovation and success in a rapidly changing market. It's the coolest job I've had and I love working with so many smart people.

The reason for this blog, well in the main, to help me think and learn. I firmly belive that if you can write something down in clear, simple terms you stand a good chance of understanding it. I've no doubt that I'll get stuff wrong, but hopefully I'm always learning.
